Las Vegas known for its lavish lifestyle and crowded nights would have never imagined that one day the city would become an bookmark in history books for one of the most deadliest shootout in the history of human civilisation.
October 1 will also go down in the history as one of those days on which the deadliest mass shootout happened in American History by a lone shooter. Stephen Paddock unleashed a hail of gunfire among 22,000 concert-goers from his vantage point of 32nd Floor from his hotel room leaving 58 dead, 489 injured and hearts broken around the world. What happened was such a cowardly act upon innocent people, his brethren.
This outrage again brings into question what triggered his mind which led to such a vent up of his feelings. That attack was done with military grade weapons .Motive has not been established as of yet but what is more frightening according to researchers is that no pattern has been established as of yet among mass shooters to prevent the tradegy and identify signs of pressure as things work on entirely different scales on psychological levels.

"Nothing enduring can be built on violence," General Assembly President, United Nations Miroslav Lajcak said on the occasion of  International Day of Non-Violence quoting the late Indian independence leader Gandhi .Ironically the next day of the attack was 2nd of October, Gandhi Jayanti and birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, father of our nation who took on Britishers non violently and boycotted any sort of violence and played a major role in helping India gain independence .

Unfortunately, things won't change unless we take a collective effort. Behaviour profiling should be introduced and counselling available at mass level. Local bodies should also take proactive steps to identify potential troublemakers and flag them. Values of love and empathy also need to be ingrained deeply in our conscience right from our childhood so that when that child grows up, he has a clear sense of idea what is right vs wrong.
